One farm, one wedding at a time
Copperleaf has hosted Hudson Valley celebrations since 1997 — and we still treat every one like the first.
From dairy barn to wedding landmark
The Copperleaf farm milked cows for a century before it hosted a single dance. When our family bought the property in 1996, the Grand Barn was full of hay and swallows — beautiful, and one storm away from collapse. We spent two years raising the beams back straight, and hosted our first wedding the following June: 90 guests, a borrowed tent, and a thunderstorm that missed us by a mile.
Word travelled the way it does upstate. The granary became the Candlelit Loft. The upper pasture became the Sailcloth Pavilion. The rose garden got its gazebo, the meadow got its moon gate, and the old carriage house became the Starlight Ballroom. Thirty years on, the farm holds eight distinct spaces across forty acres — and the rule from that first June never changed: one wedding at a time.
How we work
Every booking comes with two Copperleaf coordinators, a written rain plan, and a planning portal with your timeline, floor plans and vendor contacts. We cap the calendar at 110 weddings a year so the grounds — and the team — never feel rushed.
The working farm
Forty acres of pasture, orchard, vineyard rows and cutting gardens — still farmed, still fenced, still smelling like somewhere. Your portraits never need to leave the property.
The planning team
Six full-time planners, two per wedding, all Hudson Valley locals. They have seen 900+ setups, 40 surprise storms and exactly one runaway goat — handled.
The promise
One wedding at a time. A rain plan in writing. Answers within one business day. If we would not do it for our own family’s wedding, we will not sell it for yours.
Come meet the farm.
Tours run Thursday to Sunday, golden hour included at no extra charge.
